Dee Valley Way

The Dee Valley Way winds high above the north side of the River Dee to explore some of the more hidden parts of the beautiful valley between Corwen and Llangollen. You can start at either end.

Made up of five sections, the clearly waymarked trail traverses a varied landscape rich in history and wildlife. Experience peaceful paths, quiet villages and friendly pubs. Explore the history and archaeology and enjoy the wealth of wildflowers, birds and butterflies.

The unpolluted waters of this part of the river Dee are a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and support healthy populations of salmon, brown trout and grayling. The fish, in turn, attract elusive, largely nocturnal otters.
