Gallery and games

Ever since the 19th century and the pioneering days of photography, visitors to the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley have wanted to use new technology to capture this extraordinary landscape.

They still take many thousands of pictures every year – we have a gallery to showcase the best of them. But now photographers are going up in aeroplanes and shooting through 360 degrees with interactive panoramics.

Filmmakers and video technicians are producing incredible flyover footage, creating audio-visual archives and interviewing the people who are still shaping the landscape 2,500 years since our iconic Iron Age hillforts were built.

Bus passengers can access audio tours via Bluetooth. We’re creating interactive heritage trails which send mp3 files directly to your mobile. And children can learn about the heritage of the area and the complex balance between man and nature by playing computer games.

This is the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. And this is the future.
