AHNE Bryniau Clwyd / Clwydian Range AONB

Many British towns are becoming chronically alike: carbon-copy high streets lined with cloned chain stores. Not in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB.

The riverside towns of Corwen and Llangollen are set in one of the most iconic landscapes in Britain. They are culturally vibrant and quintessentially Welsh. They contain extraordinary medieval treasures and masterpieces of the Industrial Revolution.

And if you’re in the mood, you can walk from one town to the other along the Dee Valley Way. As long as you’ve got about a week to spare, that is. A day-and-a-half for the walk and the rest of the time for sightseeing.
