Help Shape the Future of a National Landscape in Northeast Wales
Do you live in or love visiting the stunning landscapes of Northeast Wales?
Would you like to help shape how this special area is cared for and enjoyed in the years ahead?
We’re looking for people from all walks of life to join a new Citizen’s Panel in September 2025 that will guide the future direction and management of our beautiful National Landscape (formerly known as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
Please click on the link below:
Entries must be made before the 31 July 2025.
National Landscapes exist to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the area, while also recognising their importance as places where people live, work, and visit. To make sure our plans truly reflect the needs and hopes of those who know and care about the landscape, we’re inviting around 15 people to join the Citizen’s Panel and help shape the next Management Plan, which will guide our work from January 2026 onwards.
Who are we looking for?
We welcome anyone with an interest in the area – whether you live locally, visit often, work here, or simply want to help make a difference. We’re aiming for a mix of ages, experiences, and perspectives.
What will the Panel do?
Panel members will take part in friendly, thought-provoking conversations on key themes such as:
- Nature recovery, land management, climate and land use
- Local communities and resilience– including language, services, jobs, housing, and transport
- Enjoyment and wellbeing– tourism, recreation, and the visitor economy.
- And most importantly, you’ll bring your own ideas and hopes for the future of the landscape.
Interested?
If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.
