Residents get into the Christmas spirit
Care Home Residents at the Cysgod y Gaer Residential home in Corwen enjoyed a festive afternoon of making Christmas table decorations and weaving Wreaths, getting them in the festive spirit ready for the 25th.
The session was run by the Nature for Health team which is a collaboration between Denbighshire Countryside Service and Denbighshire Housing. This team encourage more people to enjoy the countryside for physical and mental well-being by offering a variety of sessions and activities, including arts and crafts. The session was offered to both staff and Residents.
The residents were reminiscing over memories of past Christmases as they weaved and crafted their way through the afternoon. This type of activity helps improve memory and cognition and can help with motor functions in the hands.
