Walking Festival returns to AONB

  • Cerdded yng Nghoedtir. Walking in Woodland

Taking in the beautiful and historical walks of Wrexham as well as the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB, Wrexham Walking Festival returns on Saturday 3rd June. The festival is the perfect way to get back out and explore the outstanding landscapes of north-east Wales. Meet with friends or make new ones, the friendly and relaxed environment is a great way to get socialising again in a safe and welcoming space.
Whether you are a seasoned walker or looking for something new, from Saturday 3rd June to Sunday 11th June you can meet for walks from moderate, shorter routes with some inclines, to longer routes that are harder and will provide more of a challenge.
The walks will be led by friendly, experienced and trained walk leaders. Walkers should wear boots and clothing suitable enough to deal with the famous Welsh weather. The harder walks will require a good level of fitness. There is no need to book any spaces and it’s completely free! All you need to do is come along to the meeting places where you’ll be met with a big welcome from your walk leader.
For updates, latest information and more details for the walks start locations, visit the website, or contact the Tourist Information Centre on 01978 292015, email tic@wrexham.gov.uk or find them in Chester Street, Wrexham, LL13 8BE
