The AONB team, its partners and our volunteers are involved in delivering a wide range of projects. These range from site specific projects linked to a particular species, feature or community, to landscape projects linked to heritage, arts and culture; or protecting and enhancing a certain habitat or species.

This work is vital for the survival of some of our native species. Animals, plants, fungi and bacteria – every species has an important role to play in the ecosystem. Often, managing one species can be beneficial to others who share that habitat.

The people living and working within the AONB are at the heart of many of our projects. From providing opportunities for people to improve physical health and mental wellbeing to supporting entire communities through events and funding opportunities.

There are a number of way to engage with us and get involved with our work, or find out more about our current and past projects below.
